The Lawrence Group has designed a new J. Buck’s restaurant in the Cupples Station Building at the southeast corner of Clark Avenue and 10th Street in downtown St. Louis.   The restaurant has been opened since mid-June.

Built in 1897, the former warehouse space features the original exposed brick walls and heavy timber construction, with impressive floor-to-ceiling arched windows. The design for the new J. Buck’s includes two private meeting rooms, an outdoor patio, a live broadcast area, and a rooftop patio with a spectacular view of the new Busch Stadium and downtown St. Louis.

“We wanted to design a restaurant that looks like it has always been there, a landmark in downtown St. Louis,” Linda Loewenstein said. “The space will be warm, fun and classic. Classic is a great term because it also describes the Buck family and what they mean to the city of St. Louis. Broadcasting and sports nostalgia will be central to the design."

"My experience with Avis Furniture was fantastic.  From the original contact with Travis, all the way through the installation, we didn’t experience any “bumps in the road”.  Avis made our job as designers simple and painless, which is always a blessing considering the stress involved in the design, coordination, and construction processes.  The whole project couldn’t have gone any smoother; not to mention, the furniture looks fantastic!"
